Don’t Wait Another Moment To Start Your New Life!
Procrastination
Whenever we want to get things done in life, especially productive things that require some form of effort, procrastination is the leading cause of giving up. Basically, when you don’t really want to do something, everything else becomes much more exciting and important to you, which is really bizarre. It all comes down to your self-discipline, and how good you are at telling yourself to do something without fail.
The reason procrastination hits us so hard is that it doesn’t just stop at one distraction, a lot of the time it can lead to a chain of different activities until you’ve pretty much done everything except what you were supposed to do. This doesn’t just apply to things like getting fit or trying new things; it can happen with your everyday activities such as work. If you work from home, you’ve probably spent a fair share of your time putting your work off so you can watch one more episode of a Netflix box-set, or because you decided it was time to clean your room instead. These just seem more important because they’re less effort than what you actually should be doing, and you would rather do those first.
It can be hard to get over procrastination, but you shouldn’t let it beat you. The best you can do is try to eliminate all the of the distractions you have around you so you can gradually work your way into what you should be doing. If you have work to do, perhaps try to find a relaxed and isolated space for you to do it, where nothing around you can steal your focus. If you’re still having trouble, you should try rewarding yourself after each milestone to give yourself some short-lived motivation.

Where to start
Another factor that stops us from making the more significant changes in our lives is finding the first steps in what we want to do. When you don’t know how to start something, looking at it can make it look much more complicated than it is; and really it’s just about taking the time to look into it so you can get going. For example, if you wanted to pick up a new hobby, it would seem a lot more difficult if you didn’t really know much about it; other than it looks appealing to you. In this case, you should just take the time to do your research instead of letting it slip by. Perhaps you wanted to start hiking, or climbing; an entirely new and “out there” activity to you, but you haven’t got the slightest clue what you would need to bring to it. A simple search like best climbing shorts can give you all the information you need about that specific item, in which you could repeat for everything else on your shopping list!
There are people all over the world letting their opportunities slip by because they’re afraid of the complexity, and it’s nonsense! Do yourself a favour and give something new a try; whether you’re ready for it or not. Sometimes just jumping in is the best method, rather than dipping a toe in; as you get to experience everything first-hand, rather than going by someone else’s opinion.
